Sciteb in China
Over the past few decades China has become one of the most important economies in the world. Sciteb was privileged to enter the Chinese market in 2011 and we worked during the “Golden Era” of UK/China relations to improve cooperation between UK and Chinese enterprises. We were the first to formally recommend to the then Chancellor, George Osborne, that the UK join the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. Below are some more of our achievements and milestones in China. The Pandemic and the deteriorating geopolitical situation means that we are not at present active in China or with Chinese clients. We hope and believe that there will be a new Golden Era of cooperation between the UK and China in the future.

Sciteb Drinks Reception at the British Ambassador's Residence, Beijing

Sciteb held a drinks reception at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Beijing to encourage closer collaboration at board level between the UK and China
HMA Barbara Woodward gave an encouraging speech on further collaboration between the UK and China. Lady Barbara Judge was Guest of Honour and gave a speech, and remarks were made by Nicholas Beale, encouraging UK and China Boards to play the role of a crucial bridge, linking China and the UK even closer and making further contribution to the “Golden Era” between these two countries
Vice Premier Ma Kai Banquet

Sciteb was honoured to be one of the sponsors for Vice Premier Ma Kai's Banquet on Friday 12 September 2014, during his visit to the UK. Nicholas Beale met with the Vice Premier and presented him with a copy of Harvard Business Review China

Sciteb Recommended in NDRC UK Investment Guide for Chinese Investors

Nicholas Beale attended the Beijing launch of the publication of China's Nartional Development and Reform Commissions's UK investment guide for Chinese investors on 25 March 2014. Sciteb was one of ten professional services companies recommended in the guide.
The launch was chaired by Dr Wu Jiansheng, Deputy Director General, Institute of International Economic Research, NDRC. Guest speakers included: Ma Zhengang, Vice-Chairman of the China Public Diplomacy Association and Former Chinese Ambassador to the UK; Oliver Letwin, Minister for Government Policy in the Cabinet Office; Sebastian Wood, UK Ambassador to China; and Wang Yiming, Executive Vice President of Academy of Macroeconomic Research, NDRC.
MoU signed with Renmin University
12th July 2012
rofessor Qingwang Guo, Dean of the School of Finance, Renmin University of China (RUC), and Nicholas Beale signed an MoU on 4 July 2012 for the purpose of setting up a Global Financial Stability and Regulation Research Institute (GFSRRI) at Renmin, to be based on Sciteb’s work and led by Professor Chen Zhongyang. Nicholas Beale will become a Visiting Professor at the University.
